STEM Minty Challenge

Due to technical difficulties it appears this post was not made last term.
Please accept my apology and see below a post relating to a learning experience from Term 2.

We did a STEM activity where I challenged the class to make the longest minty wrapper. I said there were no rules except that it was the longest 'single' piece of wrapper- no sticky tape, no glue!.. ONE SINGLE PIECE!

It was great to see their scientific minds at work!
No one ripped their wrapper the first time so after having a bit of a discussion, a few clicked and realised they should tear their wrapper to make it longer. Before long everyone had cottoned onto this approach and the challenge was well and truly on!
